write-cation! new york city!

sometimes things just work out. my parents needed to go to nyc, i needed to go, and my husband needed to go all at the same time. why you ask? it's about to get confusing... so, my dad's lawyer's wife (he's my lawyer too) wrote a play and it was showing this particular weekend. mason's best friend ben lives in new york and we never ever see him. and my amazing agent is based in new york!

so my family (sans my sister and her fiancé) spent a few glorious days together in a completely different place than nashville, tennessee. i don't know why it seems so strange that we were all there, but i maybe it's because you normally plan a vacation together, stay together, do everything together, etc. but mason and i were staying elsewhere, doing things half with my family, half on our own. heck, one day mason and i even when off our separate ways!

i finally got to meet the whole staff at stonesong and see the office in person. after working with sarah for a year and hearing the names and voices in the background, it was time for some real face time. and i'm so glad i did.

here are some photos of our trip!
