9.28.12...getting ready

in honor of this week, i have a series of picture posts from the big day :)  we'll start with the beginning.

my something blue.  this was handmade by my great aunt ruby.  

i got handkerchiefs made for my mom and dad, feeling sure they would shed at least one tear. :) my dad used to take me on walks around pasadena, california when i was an infant, telling me everything he knew (he said). so this being our last "walk" as two huffs, i thought this was appropriate.  "dad, this is where all our walks have led to. shall we? love, ashlyne"

our dining room made a wonderful dressing room! just a few weeks prior, we had the bridesmaids' luncheon in here.

i wish i could say i posed this...but he found his "bed" for the day. i feel like it was a miniature protest: no mom, don't leave! i love my charlie.  and the lovely bouquet of flowers my friend lindsey made! visit her shop!
